Bahia de Baler is one of the more well-known accommodation establishments in Baler, Aurora Province. Owned by the Angara family, this multiple building resort boasts of an area of 2.5 hectares with beach frontage along Buton Street in Barangay Sabang.
Bahia de Baler Building 1
Bahia 1 is composed of ten single storey row-type Cottage units installed with cable television, air conditioning units, hot-and-cold shower and verandas fronting each unit. Depending on the room size, a Cottage may hold either two single beds, three single beds, a combination of one double and a single bed, a double bed, or ten single beds (economy) in a room.
Bahia de Baler Building 2
Bahia 2 is a three-storey structure integrated with Mediterranean elements and local craft details, providing guests with a tropical setting. Developed from an existing unfinished three-storey building by the architectural firm Espina, Perez-Espina & Associates, it houses the main reception area, the resort business center, a nurse's station, a gym, a game area and a multi-purpose conference area. This building is also composed of several accommodation types per floor, and all front and rear rooms feature private balconies. Rooms within the inner hall share a common balcony.
The first floor of Bahia 2 holds four Economy Rooms that can comfortably house three occupants either with three single beds or a combination of a double and single bed in a room. These Economy Rooms are all provided with air conditioning units and are fitted with flat screen cable television sets.
The second floor is composed of eight Standard Rooms that can hold two to four occupants depending on the room size. Standard Rooms may contain a double bed in a room, two single beds, a combination of double and single beds in a room, or three single beds. All Standard Rooms feature wall mounted flat screen television sets with cable service, air conditioning units and a hot-and-cold shower.
Bahia 2's third floor holds one Standard Room with three single beds and six Loft Rooms that can hold at least three occupants, with two double beds or a single and a double bed in a room. Again, all rooms are air conditioned, fitted with cable television sets and feature hot-and-cold showers.
Bahia de Baler's Other Facilities
A third building right beside Bahia 2 houses Café Rosa, the resort's restaurant and two floors of rentable suites above. The Staff House, another separate building at the rear, is composed of dorm type rooms with six single beds each and is air conditioned and hooked up with cable television as well.
Room rates for most rooms include complimentary breakfasts for guests at the beachfront Bahia de Baler Bar & Grill, except for those availing of Staff House and Economy Room accommodations.
Free wireless internet is available in all areas. Upon check-in, guests can enjoy welcome drinks of fresh coconut juice in the shell. Rooms are provided with complimentary bottled water and basic toiletries--shampoo, soap and toothpaste. All rooms are provided with a hardbound copy of the book entitled "Baler, Aurora" by Eduardo Angara for guest perusal, providing a good overview of the area's history and general information.
Sports and Recreation
Bahia de Baler is affiliated with two sports shops: Charlie Does, offering surfing lessons and board rentals at a discount for Bahia guests at the Sabang beachfront, and a sports rental facility where one can rent various water sports equipment and make arrangements for private tours within Baler. Bahia de Baler guests can also opt to arrange for a day tour at Senator Angara's private beach residential complex at Dicasalarin Cove--free of charge, but if needed, guests will have to arrange for private land transportation at their own cost. The resort staff can also make arrangements for guests who would like to avail of in-room massage services.
Standard check-in time is 2PM, and check out is at 12NN. While it is possible to book rooms as walk-in guests, calling ahead for reservations is highly recommended since the resort is usually fully booked during peak season.

Buses from Manila go directly to the Baler bus station, near the Baler public market. From there, take a tricycle to Buton Street at Barangay Sabang. Bahia de Baler can be found along the series of establishments along Buton Street at Sabang Beach.
