People come to Boracay to enjoy its pure white sand and translucent waters, but the influx of clubs, bars, and other entertainment establishments has made the island more famous for its nightlife in the recent years. Yet there are still some who come to Boracay who just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the quieter and calmer version of the island along with the setting sun and salty breeze. Thankfully, Diniwid Beach is just there.

Located away from Boracay's famous White Beach, Diniwid is about a 15-minute walk from Station 1 via a cliff side trail and a 20-minute tricycle ride from Station 2 via D'Mall. This hidden cove has rocky shores, but some areas have smooth and powdery sand as well. Expect Diniwid Beach to have less people and establishments, which makes the environment more tranquil than the other shores on the island. Diniwid is perfect for families who want a private time together or couples who are looking for a romantic place to enjoy.

Though there are less hotels and resorts that line the shores of Diniwid Beach, the establishments are just as amazing as the ones located in the three main stations of Boracay. Nami Resort is one of the more popular hotels in the area—its rooms have modern designs, each with a balcony that offers a marvelous view of the surrounding shores. The onsite restaurant serves unique versions of international dishes like the Greek spanakopita and onion soup. It also has salads, pasta dishes, and a selection of wines.

By Air
Diniwid in Boracay can easily be reached via air travel. Tourists have the option to land at Caticlan Airport or Kalibo Airport. Cebu Pacific Air, Philippine Airlines and Skyjet offer daily trips to Caticlan Airport, while tourists can fly to Kalibo Airport via AirAsia, Cebu Pacific Air, and Philippine Airlines.
From Metro Manila, it's only an hour's flight to Caticlan Airport. Upon landing, take a tricycle to get to Caticlan Jetty Port where outrigger boats heading to Boracay's Cagban Port are available.
The flight to Kalibo Airport takes longer, about an hour and fifteen minutes from Metro Manila. After arriving in Kalibo, tourists have to catch a two-hour bus ride to get to Caticlan Jetty Port.

By Sea
Sea travel to Boracay is also possible. 2GO Travel offers 10-hour ferry trips from Batangas Pier to Caticlan Jetty Port. If you're coming from Metro Manila, you can hop on board a JAM Liner bus bound for Batangas Pier. The bus trip takes around two hours or less.

How to Get Around
By Tricycle
Tricycles are the primary means of getting around the island. Boracay's tricycles have roomier sidecars that can accommodate up to five or six persons.
Keep in mind that there are set rates for every destination. Be wary of tricycle drivers who overcharge.
By Motorcycle and Bike
If you want to explore Boracay at your own pace, you can rent motorcycles or bikes at any of the shops around the island.

What to See
Natural Attractions
Just a 20-minute tricycle ride from D'mall in Station 2 will get you to one of the most peaceful spots in Boracay.
Diniwid Beach, much like White Beach, also has white sand shores and azure waters. Though the shores are shorter (only about 200 meters) than that of its most popular neighbor, White Beach, most tourists head to Diniwid for the peace and seclusion. This hidden gem can also be reached through a 15-minute walk via a cliff side path from Station 1.

Where to Eat
Diniwid Beach has a few restaurants that offer great selections on food and drinks for visitors. One of the best known in the beach is Nami Restaurant.
Nami Restaurant is the resident dining establishment of Nami Resort. With its extensive menu, guests can order anything from Filipino to international dishes to satisfy their varied tastes. Diners get to enjoy their meals while admiring a beachfront view.
Mama's Fish House has a wide array of international dishes to suit the different preferences of guests. Their specialty are their seafood dishes.
Wrap 'n Roll at the Spider House Resort offers a wide array of dishes and cocktails for tourists. They have a sushi bar and a menu of delectable offerings like pizzas, pasta, and curries.
Bars and Clubs
Wahine Beach Bar & Grill is one of the go-to places for drinks in Diniwid. Guests can sip cocktails or beers while relaxing on bean bag chairs.

Where to Shop
Head to D'mall in Station 2 if you're looking for lots of shopping options. You can buy almost everything you need there like souvenirs, pasalubong, clothing, and even medicine.
Pasalubong Areas
There are many stalls and shops all over Boracay that offer souvenirs such as keychains, handcrafted accessories such as puka shell necklaces, and T-shirts.

Boracay has several ATMs and banks if you need to withdraw some cash. Some establishments also accept credit cards.
