Four successful entrepreneurs engaged in different business interests have pooled their resources to establish a business venture in the hospitality industry: Rudy Tiu of Imperial Appliance Plaza Inc., Romeo Go of Sam's Footwear, Alfonso Tan of International Builders Corporation, and Marcelino Florete of the F&C Group built the Iloilo Grand Hotel. Since then, the hospitality industry of Iloilo has never been the same.
The Iloilo Grand Hotel is the first property under the Iloilo Grand Hotel Corporation. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and armed with an array of outstanding services, the group's premier property has attracted a highly diverse clientele throughout the years—from the globetrotting businessman to the jet-setting lifestyle traveler.
Marcelino Florete's expertise in the hospitality industry, having built and managed many hotels under his own company, has helped Iloilo Grand Hotel to soar to greater heights by consistently attracting a good amount of tourists visiting Iloilo City. With the hotel featuring a gigantic area for conventions and seminars, it has become the go-to destination for events and all sorts of functions. Its Grand Palace Cuisine Restaurant has also become a favorite in the local scene, including the Filipino-Chinese community in the city.
7 years after the establishment of its first hotel, the group Iloilo Grand Hotel Corporation felt that there is still so much to be done with bridging the gap between the limited number of accommodations and the growing demand for value-for-money accommodations in Iloilo. Thus in 2010, the group opened its second hotel—The Grand Tower Suites. To date, the group has further expanded its portfolio by including Madison Hotel to its list. And with the tourism industry in Iloilo continuing to improve, the future of Iloilo Grand Hotel Corporation can only get brighter.
