5 Places to Visit in Laguna

Laguna is a great destination for a quick daytrip. It’s easily drivable from the metro, and it gives you plenty of fun things to do whether you’re on a family outing, personal getaway, or barkada bonding trip. Aside from experiencing Pansol’s hot springs, there are other things you can experience in Laguna. Read on for 5 places to visit.

1.    Pagsanjan Falls
Pagsanjan Falls is the biggest attraction in Laguna. There are two ways to get there, and both are opportunities to have fun adventures. The first is by taking a river raft with a group. You’ll go through rapids together to reach the falls. The other is through a vertical trek that will have you climbing up stairs and rappelling. Once you reach the falls, you can take a dip or simply enjoy the sight of the waters.

2.    Enchanted Kingdom
Enchanted Kingdom is the perfect place to go for both kids and kids at heart. You can enjoy heart-stopping rides like the giant rollercoaster Space Shuttle or the pendulum boat ride Anchor’s Away. You can also try leisurely but fun rides like the Rialto 3D theater. You can just chill and walk around the park, eating food, or playing games in the arcade. Try going on a weekday to avoid endless lines.

3.    Mount Makiling
If you love nature, you can head to Mount Makiling, which is actually an inactive volcano standing at about 3,576 feet. Here you can go trekking, camping, and hiking. There are also other attractions available like the Makiling Botanical Garden and the National Arts Center.

4.    Rizal Shrine
If you are feeling nostalgic or you want to take your kids on an educational trip, you can visit the Rizal Shrine in Calamba, Laguna. The shrine is a reproduction of the original two-storey Spanish colonial-style home where Rizal originally lived as a young boy. Here you’ll find a gallery, library, and audio-visual room where you can learn all about Rizal and shop for be souvenirs and memorabilia.

5.    Nuvali
If you are heading to Laguna for a simple day trip, you can head to Santa Rosa and visit Nuvali. You can go to Nuvali Lake and feed the cute fish. Each bag costs only about PHP 15. You can also take a water taxi and just feel the breeze while you go around the lake. You can rent a bike for some exercise as well.
