Almost all urban foodies are familiar with Kapitolyo—this neighborhood in Pasig City is home to countless restaurants and even a food park, making it an established food district. Whether you're craving for comfort Filipino food, Japanese food, or American dishes, a quick trip to Kapitolyo is the answer to your craving.

One of the most frequented restaurants in the district is Kanto Freestyle Breakfast, located along 1st Street. With a laidback design and simple setting, the restaurant appeals to “budgetarians” in search of quality meals that are not too hard on the wallet. While this branch in Kapitolyo may not be the original (found in Mandaluyong), it has been consistent in offering gourmet breakfast dishes at affordable price points that patrons have come to love. What's more, it's open 24/7, so even at an ungodly hour, you can have some of your favorite breakfast food.

Affordable breakfast food
Even a budget of PHP 100.00 will go a long way at Kanto. In fact, almost all of their meals under their "Kanto Boy Breakfast" menu cost PHP 95.00. Choose among Vigan longganisa, spam, bacon, New Zealand beef tapa, and even tinapang galunggong for your course. All meals under this category are complete with rice, egg (choice of sunny side up, poached, or scrambled), and their signature tomato pesto side dish.

Kanto also allows their diners to customize their meals: simply choose among a wide array of viands and add-ons from their "Freestyle Breakfast" menu and you're set. Aside from rice meals, Kanto also serves pancakes with all sorts of syrup including mixed berry, peanut butter and banana, and even Goya chocnut ganache.

Extensive menu
Kanto also appeals to the international crowd by offering dishes such as eggs benedict, croque madame and monsieur, and french toast which you can also order if you're not fond of rice meals. They also have unique desserts such as deep fried oreos, deep fried Cloud 9, and ice scramble.

So the next time you find yourself in Kapitolyo wondering where to eat, head on over to Kanto Freestyle Breakfast where feasting on the most important meal of the day is possible anytime you like.
