Valentine's Day isn't the only occasion to celebrate this February. From paying tribute to the arts to celebrating new beginnings to experiencing a gastronomic feast, this month is a great way to create colorful memories worthy of being remembered for a long time.

Panagbenga Festival
February 1-March 4 | Baguio


The Flower Festival is a month-long event annually held in February, which pays tribute to the city’s flowers. This year, the celebration culminates on February 23 and 24 with a grand street dancing parade featuring dancers in flower-inspired costumes and a grand flower-decorated float parade.

National Arts Month
February 1-28 | Nationwide

This annual tribute to the arts recognizes top Filipino artists, old and new. Among the big events is the Philippine Arts Festival. Throughout the month, the National Commission for Culture and Arts will offer workshops, forums, and exhibitions all over the country. Different fields of art—architecture, theatre arts, dance, music, etc.—are all represented at the festival.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year
February 10 | Nationwide


A momentous event for the Filipino-Chinese communities in the Philippines, Chinese New Year is a well-celebrated event nationwide. Among popular activities are dragon dances and parades. Chinese also usher in good luck by following traditions like serving tikoy and filling red envelopes with a small amount of money to give away.  

Suman Festival (Aurora Day)
February 14-19 | Baler, Aurora


The Suman Festival is an event dedicated to a famous Philippine delicacy: suman (sticky rice cake). It coincides with the celebration of Aurora Day, which pays tribute to Aurora Quezon, founder of the province. Among Suman Festival activities are float parades, competitions, and fairs.

Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta
February 21-24 | Pampanga


The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is an annual event, which showcases lots of hot air balloons in different designs. Pilots from all over the world come to join the celebration including those that participate in other aviation sports. Among events that feature heavily during the fiesta are skydiving, freestyle aerobatics, and kite-making.
