If you've seen all there is to see in National Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and San Agustin Museum, where do you go next?

Veer away from the touristy areas and venture into the streets of Malate, where you will find a museum that not only appreciates the past but also looks into the future (of art, that is).

The Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, or MCAD Manila serves as a hub for modern art. Located within the campus of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's School of Design and Arts, it functions as a gallery space for contemporary artworks, both local and international. So if you want to broaden your cultural perspective, then this place is perfect for you.

From eye-catching paintings to complex sculptures, and from larger-than-life installations to stirring performance art pieces, MCAD Manila has it all. Through all of its contemporary art exhibitions and pieces, MCAD Manila hopes to promote a creative discussion among artists and art lovers. And to further spread the good news of art, the museum even holds events like artist talks, workshops, and even film screenings. And the best part: almost all of these events are free and open to the public!
