Siargao is a place for everyone. Known as the surfing capital of the Philippines, this humble island in Surigao del Norte has lots of breathtaking natural attractions worth bragging about. From islands and beaches to caves and lagoons, these Siargao tourist spots deserve a spot on your itinerary.

1. Cloud 9 Surf Spot

Cloud 9 is the place to be if you want to experience surfing in Siargao. It's the most sought-after wave on the island, attracting many surfers all around the globe, with some even competing in the annual Siargao Cup—an international surfing competition. A picturesque boardwalk leads you to the surfing area, and there are various shops where you can rent boards and even avail of lessons if you're just starting on the sport.

2. Dako Island, Guyam Island, and Naked Island

Next to surfing, island hopping is one of the more popular activities to try in Siargao. A boating trip will take you to see three of the most breathtaking and unique islands that Siargao has to offer: Dako Island, Guyam Island, and Naked Island.

Daku Island is named after the Visayan term "daku," which means big and rightfully so because of its vastness. Covered with white sand shores and turquoise-colored waters and sprinkled with lush vegetation, this island is a haven for nature lovers. You can relax on the sand or take a refreshing dip in the sea. Naked Island, on the other hand, shows beauty in its simplicity. This barren white sandbar will attract beach bums who want to disconnect from it all and spend time with nature. Last but not the least, Guyam Island is a tiny oasis, but don't be quick to judge it on its size. It has an abundance of marine life, which makes it a popular snorkeling spot. It is also characterized by its white sand as well as its lush vegetation of coconut trees.

3. Pacifico Beach
As expected, Siargao also takes pride in its beautiful beaches that give more popular destinations like Boracay a run for their money. What's more, Siargao's shores are less crowded and more peaceful, which is perfect if you want to escape from it all. Pacifico Beach, for one, has mesmerizing white sand that will surely captivate anyone. Located in the town of San Isidro, it's also home to some awesome waves, making it an alternative surf spot for wave riders who want to stray from the crowds of Cloud 9.

4. Magpupungko Beach
Another white sand wonder in Siargao is the Magpupungko Beach. Located in the town of Pilar, it's about an hour away from Cloud 9. You can easily visit this marvelous beach or any of the other beaches in Siargao by renting a motorcycle or hiring a tricycle to take you around.

5. Magpupungko Tidal Pools

Aside from the beach, Magpupungko is also visited for its tidal pools. During low tide, these natural swimming pools become the perfect place to take a relaxing dip because of its crystal-clear waters. Its gorgeous rock formations are also picture-perfect.

6. Taktak Falls

If all that vitamin sea you're soaking up in Siargao is still not enough, then you might want to add Taktak Falls to your itinerary. This waterfall can be found in the town of Santa Monica and is the perfect side trip if you want to take a break from all the sun, sand, and sea. Swimming, diving, and cliff jumping are some of the many things you can do when you visit.

7. Sohoton Cove National Park

Bucas Grande Island is the home of the Sohoton Cove National Park, a protected area that houses a magnificent lagoon filled with stingless jellyfishes as well as several caves that you can explore during low tide. If adventure is what you seek for your Siargao trip, you can marvel at the limestone formations in each of the caves and swim with the jellies.
