Subic Grand Seas
Subic Grand Seas offers guests high end resort ambiance, amenities, and service at wallet-friendly prices.
Subic Grand Seas is a resort that provides guests with Manila-level comforts and amenities amidst Barrio Barretto’s more rustic offerings.
Barrio Barretto, which lies near Olongapo and just outside the former Subic Naval Base, is generally perceived to be a haven for backpackers and domestic tourists, providing guests with basic accommodations at a lower price, coupled with a small-town feel that is totally different from the more organized Freeport Zone nearby.
Subic Grand Seas offers guests a more cosmopolitan experience at a reasonable Barrio Barretto price. The resort offers features that Manileños will appreciate, such as a formal reception area, emphasis on resort-quality service, hotel level rooms and accommodations and in-room, on call massage services (until 11pm).
Other features include a well maintained pool and a corresponding kiddie pool, the latter also containing a small water fountain that invites frolicking, a small hut for lounging around in, a boardwalk that allows for dining by the beach, and a beautiful beachfront where guests can swim or simply laze about in the sun.
Subic Grand Seas is a good place to stay if one wants to experience a resort-like atmosphere at a budget price.
How to get there:
If you are coming from the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, exit through the Rizal Gate and go straight along Rizal Avenue until you reach the Apo Monument. (If you are coming from Olongapo City proper, you will approach the Apo Monument from the other side.) Take the left turn (right if you are coming from the other side) at the rotunda heading towards the National Highway, and turn left in the direction of Barrio Barretto when you reach the highway junction. Follow the National Highway to the stretch of resorts along Barrio Barreto, until you come to the Subic Grand Seas gate, which is on the left side.
