Most luxurious pools in high-class resorts have swim-up bars, but did you know that some beaches and islands have bars that float on the sea? If you want to know what it’s like to party in the middle of the vast ocean, then a floating bar would be the perfect hangout place for you. There are only a few of them in the country, and we’ve compiled some of them for you to choose from. So without further ado, here are three of our recommended floating bars and where to find them.
1. Bikini Floating Bar in Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera
Puerto Galera is a popular beach destination among city dwellers because of its proximity to the metro. It is also known for its beach parties courtesy of the numerous bars and clubs in the area. But if you want to stray from the norm, try hitting Bikini Floating Bar. A cheerful spot bursting with color, it is anchored on the waters of Sabang Beach, one of Puerto Galera's most touristy destinations. Guests need to hop on a small boat to get to the anchorage. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view as the friendly server mixes up a cocktail for you.
Note: Bikini Floating Bar is currently undergoing renovation. No worries though, as it is set to reopen sometime this year.
2. Floating Bar in Bantayan Island, Cebu
Bantayan Island is a peaceful paradise located at the northern tip of Cebu. It has blissful white sand beaches where you can free your mind of your stresses and worries. But if you're in Bantayan to have fun, then the Floating Bar has got you covered. This drinking spot is off the coast during the peak season months of December to May. A banca will take you to this floating bar which is anchored a few meters away from the shoreline of Sugar Beach. It offers a wide selection of drinks like cocktails, beers, and shooters. It also has a snacks and meals menu so tourists can wine and dine with a view. It has a friendly atmosphere which makes mingling with the local and foreign patrons easy for tourists.
3. Tawhai Floating Bar in Lakawon Island, Negros Occidental
Boasting a stretch of white sand and pristine waters, Lakawon Island is an island resort just a boat ride away from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental.
