When we got to the hotel at 2pm, we encountered a problem regarding our check-in time. We should be able to check-in as early as 12nn, but they had problems with overbooking despite our early reservation. They had a miscommunication with TravelBook, as the latter weren't able to inform us early that our check-in time would be at 8pm instead, due to the huge number of bookings the hotel received because of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. The solution the hotel had is that, they will allow us to check-in in a Standard Room (the one we paid for, that is booked for another guest who will arrive later in the afternoon), but we would need to move to a Queen Deluxe Room at a later time, and we agreed even if it's such a hassle, because we were tired and just wanted to rest upon our arrival. The Standard Room was so dirty! Our bedsheet still had hair and stain in it! The room and bathroom were poorly lit. Everything just felt unclean. Our air conditioner barely made the room cold, so they suggested to bring in an electric fan, and also change the bedsheets. The chambermaid was a man whose overall look didn't seem clean, and seeing him change our sheets with new ones that he was carrying/hugging felt really icky. We immediately regretted booking for this hotel. When we were transferred to the Queen Deluxe Room, we thanked the heavens because the room was better cleaned this time, but the lighting in the bathroom was still very poor. The breakfast for one was so unsatisfactory. The "Filipino" breakfast only had: 1 hotdog, 1 ham, 1 sunny side up egg, 1 cup of rice, and a 3-in-1 coffee. Overall taste was bland. The restaurant tables weren't even wiped clean, and it was still early in the morning! Their pool was so dirty. No wonder no one was swimming in it. After leaving the hotel, my partner and I noticed some rashes on our skin the next day. This only proves our observation that the whole place felt absolutely unhygienic. We'll never book a room in this hotel again.

My family and I would like to attend the annual hot air balloon festival. My husband said that we will just take the trip early and come back home later in thr evening. However we planned more activities at pampanga but booked a little too late because some are already fully booked. I checked and yes there is still a vacant room at Angeles Palace Hotel. I paid the next day but was later emailed that there was an overbooking that happened. Staff from travelbook managed to coordinate right away with the management of the hotel and we were allowed to check in by 8pm and check out the next day at 8pm. We noticed upon entering that the place is filled with koreans, hence we felt that we were turista sa sariling bayan. Everyone were koreans except the staff. We were ushered to our room. It was quite nice but not as clean as a hotel would usually look like. Their interiors need some repairs or upgrading. Their toiletries were an opened soap bar, toothbrush that has a tape on the box (obviously opened and maybe used!) big shampoo container(used) and a used tooothpaste as well. The tv wasn't also getting much channels as expected, We slept comfortably during the night and opened our veranda windows to some hot air balloons that just took off, overlooking the pool from the neighboring hotel. Had to have some breakfast and they have their complimentary breakfast for one only hence we ordered two more meals. They only serve korean dishes (from the menu) and filipino and american breakfast only. Their food is hearty and delicious. My child would want to have a dip in their pool but the leaves of the nearby trees just kept on falling down and keeping the pool dirty, and no one dared to clean the pool, hence no early morning dip for that day. Overall we were thankful that travelbook managed to keep our reservation for the night. Room was ok but needs upgrades and cleaning. Toiletries were unacceptable and disapponting. Food was good. If I were to ask I would Recommend to look for another one other than this. Honest opinion. Again, thanks to travelbook for helping us keep this reservation for that date.
