About Z Hostel Makati

Z Hostel offers affordable places to stay in Makati for tourists on a budget. But though their accommodations are cheap, the "first and biggest luxury hostel in the Philippines" makes sure that its guests get their money's worth by offering them quality amenities as well as access to a host of features that will make their stay remarkably memorable. What's more, the hostel enjoys a convenient location close to many of Makati's top-rated spots.

Ideal for both work and play

With its towering skyscrapers housing the offices of many businesses and companies, Makati is known as the financial capital of the Philippines. Business travelers on a budget will find that Z Hostel provides pocket-friendly lodgings for their business stay that are near the central business district. Some of the business buildings are only a jeepney or cab ride away. If you're coming from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, it's only about a 30-minute drive before you reach the hostel.

Aside from being the country’s main business city, Makati City is also a known nightlife hub. Burned-out employees de-stressing with a few drinks rub shoulders with fun-loving tourists at Makati's many pubs, bars, and clubs.  If you're a partygoer, then you'll be glad to know that Z Hostel is near Makati's entertainment district. A short walk from the hostel leads you to some of the hottest nightlife spots in the city.

Well-equipped rooms at reasonable price points

Z Hostel has both shared and private accommodations to suit the varying needs of guests in Makati. The hostel's dormitory-type accommodations are perfect for budget-conscious travelers and guests who want to widen their network and meet new friends. Z Hostel gives you the choice between a mixed dorm and an all-female dorm, both of which are equipped with bunk beds. Guests who choose to stay at the dorms will have access to a communal bathroom. Those who prefer a bit of privacy and solidarity can stay at Z Hostel's private rooms, which come with en suite baths complete with toilet and hot and cold shower.

All room types at Z Hostel are fully air conditioned and provided with storage space for your belongings as well as lamps and other furniture.

A wealth of features at your disposal

As budget-friendly as its accommodations are, Z Hostel does not scrimp when it comes to facilities for its guests.

As soon as you step into Z Hostel, you will be amazed by its lobby, which has a cool and modern design. Just like most hotels, its 24-hour front desk displays different clocks that tell time for major cities of the world for the benefit of foreign tourists. And with the free WiFi access all over the establishment, it is pretty much a popular hangout place for guests.

Feeling hungry? There's no need to step outside Z Hostel for a bite to eat because its in-house restaurant, Z café, offers an array of sumptuous Filipino fare as well as an assortment of drinks to satisfy your appetite. The café is also open for breakfast: you can start your day with huge servings of food from its morning buffet.

After spending the day touring around the metro or attending a business meeting, unwind at the Z Hostel's famed Roof Deck bar. Watch this place transform from a humble place to grab a nightcap during the weekdays to a hip and happening nightlife spot every weekend.

Z Hostel also has facilities for recreation, including a game room and theater room. Meanwhile, a co-working space is available for those who want to squeeze in some work during their stay.

Easy access to Makati's best offerings

Z Hostel enjoys a location in the bustling Poblacion area, which is filled with a fine selection of good eats. From local and Asian cuisine to international, you'll find that the variety of restaurants around the area was made to be suitable for tourists with picky tastes.

For those who have a flair for Asian food, go to Wild Poppy. This rooftop restaurant is a cut above the rest because of its laidback ambiance and Instagrammable décor. Meanwhile, El Chupacabra is a great choice for Mexican food lovers. Located at the corner of Felipe and Polaris streets, it serves savory Tex-Mex dishes such as burritos, tapas, and tacos. And of course, for some good old Filipino street food snacks, there's Tambai. They have a wide selection of yakitori sticks, which include the usual skewered pork and chicken and even local favorites like isaw and chicken liver.

Meanwhile, just a short walk from Z Hostel is P. Burgos Street, Makati's well-known entertainment district. Home to plenty of bars and clubs, it is the ultimate nightlife destination for weary souls who want to kick back from the daily grind by having some drinks. Whether you're looking to have some booze, dance the night away, or sing your heart out at a karaoke bar, a night spent in Burgos is definitely a fun and memorable one.

Finally, century City Mall is also just within the neighborhood. This high-end shopping center houses numerous retail outlets for your shopping needs. Also within the mall is a supermarket, a cinema and a music bar. It is also known for Hole in the Wall, an upscale food court that carries a number of food concessionaires each specializing in a certain cuisine or dish.

It's easy to go beyond the neighborhood to other popular spots in Makati because of Z Hostel's advantageous location. Many of the business offices are just a short jeepney ride away from the hostel, as is Ayala Center, one of the premier shopping districts in Makati which is home to many malls, namely: Greenbelt, Glorietta, The Landmark, and SM Makati. More popular Makati spots that you can reach via commute include Ayala Museum, Ayala Triangle Gardens, and Makati Cinema Square.

For a most memorable, comfortable, and lively stay, make Z Hostel as your accommodation of choice when visiting Makati City. With its pocket-friendly rates, laidback ambiance, convenient facilities, and location in a friendly neighborhood, rest assured that you will be getting the most bang out of your buck.

The location is good and their rooftop is amazing. Just the check out time is 11am which is so early. The bed is small and the toilet is in front of your bed which is not good for me but the place is decent.

My stay at Z Hostel was good. Stayed there on the days of Art Fair Philippines 2017. The place, while not so near Makati Business District, was very convenient. The idea of meeting spontaneous people in shared rooms is definitely very cool. Good place, so-so staff (Not very attentive front desk), good breakfast. Okay stay at Z.
