With a wide range of practical amenities and on-point services about 250 kilometres north of Manila, Venus Parkview Hotel offers you with the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life in the metro.
Conveniently located just minutes away from Baguio City's top attractions, Venus Parkview Hotel is nestled along Kisad Road, right across Burnham Park and near the Baguio Mountain Province Museum. Baguio is considered as the country's summer capital and is about a six to seven-hour bus ride from Manila. A daytrip from Manila to Baguio in a private vehicle, however, can only take around four hours courtesy of better highways.
Some of the city's places of interest are very much accessible from Venus Parkview Hotel. These include Baguio Cathedral (691 meters), Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto (1.40 kilometers), Camp John Hay (2.40 kilometers), and Mines View Park (3.80 kilometers).
Rooms for everyone
Venus Parkview Hotel was built in 1976 and has been a premiere establishment ever since. Because of this, the hotel began renovations in 2014 to further improve their facilities and expand, giving guests better experiences and making sure they are up to date with their amenities. Some renovations are still ongoing as to ensure they are not behind their competitors. There are currently three buildings that make up the entire hotel complex.
Venus Parkview Hotel has about 150 rooms divided into nine different room types: Premiere Executive Suite, Junior Executive Suite, Executive King with Balcony, Executive Twin with Balcony, Executive Twin, Superior Room with Aircon, Superior Room with Balcony, Superior Room, and Economy Room. Each of the nine room types have their appeals and corresponding target markets. All rooms are good for at least two persons with the exception of the Premiere Executive Suite and the Economy rooms which are good for four and six persons respectively. No matter which room you do choose, you are entitled to a free breakfast for two people.
The high-end rooms like the Executive Suites have their own living room aside from the bedroom. All rooms are similarly decorated and keep a simple white wall motif. Rooms are decorated and presented in a very homey style, making it more comfortable and easier to appreciate. If you want to wake up to a nice view of Baguio or Burnham Park, then picking a Balcony room is the best choice for you. Superior Room with Aircon is the best bet when you want to stay in Baguio for the summer when the Baguio weather is not as cold as expected. But even if the sun is scorching, any other room type is perfect as the natural cold climate will eventually even things out.
Though some of the rooms in Venus Parkview Hotel are a bit costlier than most, they also have budget accommodations in the form of the Economy Room that is good for six people. If you are traveling in a big group or family, this room type is perfect for you. All rooms come with complimentary internet access via WiFi, cable television, in-room smoke detections, NDD/IDD telephone, a private bathroom with hotel hot and cold shower, and complimentary breakfast for two.
Balls, banquets, and feasts
One of the unique selling propositions of Venus Parkview Hotel is that they are known to hold grand scale events. There are four venues within the hotel where you can hold your grand celebrations, and each one can accommodate a large number of attendees, allowing you to have almost any kind of event you can think of. All of the four venues are spacious and equipped with modern amenities like projectors and screens and have been designed for maximum comfort and convenience.
The Olive Grand Ballroom is Venus Parkview Hotel’s flagship banquet hall. It is the biggest of all four in the hotel with a maximum capacity of at least 1,200 people. This banquet hall is often used for weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, and reunions. The Olive Grand Ballroom is also frequently used by several government agencies of Baguio. If you are looking for a grand and posh venue for a big event, this ballroom should be your first choice.
The next function area is the Fils Hall, which offers something a bit different in terms of ambiance compared to The Olive Grand Ballroom. If the Grand Ballroom amazes with its vast size, the Fils Hall offers a more laidback ambiance as it is al fresco and can hold about 100 to 300 persons. It is perfect for small intimate gatherings as you have a nice romantic backdrop of the Baguio and full access to the constantly cool climate. Typical events carried out here are small intimate family gatherings, engagement parties, symposiums and mid-sized seminars.
For even smaller sized events or meetings there is 3A Hall and 3B Hall. 3A Hall can accommodate from 20 to 30 persons, while 3B can host up to 50 guests These halls are perfect for small business meetings, barkada get-togethers, product launches, or even a small conference. All the banquet halls are also equipped with high speed internet connection via WiFi which comes free of charge.
