Boracay is the most famous beach destination in the Philippines. It is home to one of the best white sand shores and aquamarine waters in the whole world. But to fully enjoy and experience the best that this tropical paradise has to offer, Station 1 is the place to be.

Although Boracay's famous white sand beach extends all over the island, Station 1 is where the finest of the beach lies. It is also where most of the island's best hotels and resorts are located. The area is ideal for vacationers who want to experience luxurious accommodations and services. The surroundings are also much quieter in the area, which makes the vibe more relaxing and romantic as well. Station 1 can also be enjoyed by couples who want a scenic beach wedding and a romantic honeymoon to remember.

Station 1 enjoys seaside elegance because of its array of high-end hotels and resorts. Fridays Boracay is one of the most well-known resorts in the area. It has been offering topnotch accommodations and services since its first cottages were built in 1982. Fridays Boracay possesses an impressive view of the surrounding white sand beach from its balconies. It has its own restaurant that looks gorgeous at night and spa that offers massages, body scrubs, hair treatments, and other various services.

Another high-end resort in Boracay is Ambassador in Paradise. It has a wide variety of rooms, all spacious, and equipped and designed with impressive furnishings and amenities. The resort is also very environment-friendly since it uses solar panels and other sources of renewable energy.

By Air
Tourists have two options when flying to Boracay from Metro Manila or Cebu City: they can either fly to Caticlan Airport or Kalibo Airport. The flight to Caticlan Airport usually takes an hour. The flight to Kalibo Airport, meanwhile, is about an hour and 15 minutes.
If you choose to fly to Caticlan Airport, you have to take a tricycle to Caticlan Airport. The outrigger boats there will bring you to Boracay's Cagban Port after a 10 to 15-minute trip. Once there, you can ride a tricycle or walk to your chosen accommodation in Station 1.
Kalibo Airport follows the same route; however, tourists must first ride a van to Caticlan Port. Travel time usually takes around two hours or less.

By Sea
2GO Travel offers ferry trips from Batangas Pier to Caticlan Port. If you're coming from Metro Manila, you can board a JAM Liner Bus to get to the pier. Travel time from Batangas Pier to Caticlan takes about 10 hours.

How to Get Around
By Tricycle
Tricycles are the main transportation mode when getting around. Boracay's tricycles have a bigger sidecar that can accommodate up to five to six passengers. Be careful of tricycle drivers who have a bad habit of overcharging fares—there is a standard set for fares enforced by the local government so make sure to familiarize yourself with them to avoid being caught in the tourist trap.
By Motorcycle and Bike
Tourists who want to explore Boracay at their own pace can rent motorcycles and mountain bikes from any of the available rental shops around the island. Some even rent out all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) for exploring destinations that are off the beaten path.

What to See
Willy's Rock is arguably the most distinguished landmark in Station 1. This rock formation is the usual subject for photos taken in Boracay. Other than being an amazing natural wonder, it is also a place for prayer because of the presence of an image of the Virgin Mary enshrined there.
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish is another notable landmark. This Catholic church is a great place for tourists who want to get in touch with their spiritual self during their vacation.
Natural Attractions
Station 1 is known to possess the widest beachfront among the three boat stations of White Beach in Boracay. The alluring white sand shores are perfect for frolicking, sunbathing, making sandcastles and of course, taking pictures. In addition, its azure waters will make you want to take a dip.
Man-Made Attractions
Boracay is abuzz with activities 24/7, and Station 1 takes its share of the fun with its many shops that offer all kinds of watersports and activities for adventurers on the island. Tourists can enjoy parasailing, helmet diving, snorkeling, scuba diving, island hopping, water skiing, and banana boating to name a few. Rates are competitive so make sure to visit more than one shop in order to get the best deal.
Boracay is also famous for its pulsing nightlife. Boracay PubCrawl lets tourists explore the best night spots on the island Sign up for bar hopping  and get to meet interesting partygoers along the way.
Just 30 minutes away from Station 1 by boat is Ariel's Point, a prime spot for cliff diving in Boracay. There are many tour operators in Station 1 that offer this exhilarating activity.
Events and Festivals
Laboracay is the biggest party event in Boracay. It usually happens during Labor Day weekend (May 1), hence its given name. Expect throngs of party people, amazing musical performances from both local and international DJs, and free-flowing cocktails during this event.
