It is located near Lake Pandin, where guests can swim and enjoy locally cooked lunch by the lakeshore. Lake Pandin is considered to be the most pristine of Laguna’s famous seven lakes. Its location also allows tourists to explore more of Laguna’s most interesting spots like the Villa Escudero and Rizal Recreation Center. Casa San Pablo also makes a perfect jumping-off point for travelers who want to visit Viaje del Sol, San Pablo’s popular art and culture tour envisioned by designer, Patis Tesoro.

It only takes about two hours and 30 minutes before you get to Casa San Pablo and see its enchanting beauty. The entire place will charm you into its welcoming embrace that when you arrive there, it feels as if you’re coming right at home.

Getting to the casa

If you’re driving to Casa San Pablo from Metro Manila, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and go through the Lucena/Batangas Exit. Drive down the highway straight to Batangas, passing the Yakult factory on the right. Turn left upon reaching the Batangas junction and drive towards Sto. Tomas until you reach the Batangas intersection across the Isuzu Truck showroom. Turn left towards the YKK factory and drive straight, passing Alaminos and onto San Pablo City, with SM San Pablo on the left. Go straight past the Caltex gas station until a fork in the road. Take the left fork, Colago Ave., and drive down the street until Barrio San Roque. Turn right after the welcome arch into Kay Inay Resort. Casa San Pablo is inside.

Commuting to Laguna is also easy. You just have to take any bus bound for Lucena and get off at San Pablo Medical Center along the highway. It is a few meters before a Chowking branch. From the medical center, take a tricycle and ask the driver to drop you off at Kay Inay Resort where you can find Casa San Pablo.

Retro and eclectic rooms

When it comes to the design of their rooms, Casa San Pablo mixed tradition with modernity. Exuding a feel of modern nostalgia, their rooms are designed to inspire you to reminisce and look back at old things in a fresh way. The owners, Boots and An Alcantara, husband-and-wife team who are both lovers of art, designed the rooms themselves.

Casa San Pablo has a total of 18 rooms—each one unique of the other. You can expect to come across bits and pieces of your childhood, like a stuffed toy, Hot Wheels car, a birdcage, hand-drawn and oil paintings, and avant-garde posters, making you feel strangely familiar in a place that’s old yet modern. Whether you wish to spend a quiet night by yourself, a romantic evening with your significant other, a relaxing getaway with your family, or a blissful get-together with your friends, Casa San Pablo surely has a room for you.
