Just had a recent stay here at Grand Sea Hotel. We booked online so I think we saved around Php300-400 but even in its original price, I would say it is all worth it. We did get a free breakfast after all. The best thing here I think is their customer service. All staff members I interacted with, whether they are from Crab Loco Restaurant, Sayuri Restaurant and even from hotel, are all smiling. You get the feel of being valued as a guest. They actually have one restaurant but divided it into two - Sayuri Restaurant which serves Japanese food and Crab Loco Restaurant - which serves Asian/Western Food. The price of these restaurant didn't really differ from others but all the food we've tried are great. Additional thing is that they have an acoustic night during our stay. We don't know if they do this every night or they just did it because its weekend. (We were there on a Saturday Night). Also, a plus for me is that since they do have a garden-like area, you can actually eat your food outside of the restaurant. It really looks cool eating dinner under the moonlight. Hotel room is fine. I didn't have much time to observe since I was drunk and just slept the whole night. :) Breakfast is good since it's a buffet style meal. Fried rice, scrambled egg, dried milkfish, longganisa, and egg soup plus orange juice and coffee ALL UNLIMITED. So the price of Php2,231++ per night (discounted) is really cheap compared to others. The only noticeable thing negative for me is that the swimming pool is too small. I mean, they have like 10 rooms and if there's time that people will try to use their pool, it will be too crowded even for just two families. Nevertheless, since it's not peak season, we managed to use it late at night. :) Overall, our stay is so satifsying. If you are looking for something that's not really expensive and a good place to stay, this is definitely your place. I maybe bias because of the unlimited breakfast meal but honestly, it's beyond what I'm expecting for its price. Thank you Grand Sea resort!

Our 1st day, Aug 26, was a stormy day, so we just stayed at the resort. Hindi kami nakapagbeach (marumi), hindi kami nakalabas for dinner or for coffee/midnight snacks. But it turned out to be a blessing kasi nakapahinga kami, nagmuni-muni, nagbasabasa, nagkwentuhan, nagtawanan, nanood ng TV hanggang gabi, nagdinner sa kwarto (lahat kami ay nasa isang room!). It was a memorable family time. Nag enjoy kami just being with each other! Then the following day, Aug. 27 (Sunday), we all thanked the Lord and attended the 6:30am Mass at the church just across the resort. (But sadly, there was no available priest for Mass. We had a Liturgical Service; however at the basketball court nearby - may pari, may tao, may Misa at the same time! Sana maayos ang anumang gusot mayroon sa Simbahan ng Barretto at ng diocese para hindi malito ang mga mananampalataya.)

My family and I went here early September spending the long weekend as we wanted a good place near a beach since my mom would only swim if it's a beach. The place is smaller than expected. Rooms are decent with good AC and warm shower, cable TV okay. Wifi sucks though--not working at all. The food at the Crab Loco is very pricey and you are not allowed to bring outside food or drinks in the vicinity so we walked some 300 meters outside and found Rico's Eat all you can for 150/head. Pool is dirty with so much chlorine, you can barely open your eyes. Fountains not working. I would have accepted all these flaws if the beach front is great since that's the main reason for our vacay. Much to our dismay, the shore is VERY VERY VERY dirty. With all sorts of trash scattered along the shoreline and the shore waters. We opted to stay inside the room instead. I hope the LGU or the management do something about this. It is very disappointing.
