Just ask the driver to drop you off to Grand Seas, or look out for their poster at the left side of the street while on your way. You’ll know you are only minutes away from the resort shortly after you cross the bridge. The Immaculate Conception Parish can also be your landmark as it sits directly across the resort. The jeepney ride also won’t burn a hole in your pocket at only PHP 13.00.

We decided to spend my girlfriend's birthday in Subic. She was quick enough to finalize our itinerary and decided to stay at Subic Grand Seas Resort. To get there, we took the route nlex - dinalupihan - sctex - tipo expway - then we relied on waze when we got to the freeport zone. It was a good 3 - 4 hr drive from Caloocan. (di kami na trapik 6 am kami umalis ng bahay) As per the price range, I would say it's in the middle. Not too pricey, but not the cheapest. We got it for more than Php 3,000 per night (thats already discounted). Around 700 - 750 per night for the addition person. We paid Php 1550.00 for 2 nights w/ bfast for the additional person. Kudos to their staff for being friendly and approachable. Another plus is their available board games! These include Scrabble, Chess and Snakes and Ladders! One good reason to keep your phones aside for a while. Regarding the quality of the room, I'd say it's ok. Clean. You'll have your set of toiletries, complimentary bottled water, towel, tissue, and beddings. It has a cable tv, and a/c. Sadly, no electronic kettle for tea/coffee lovers like me. We had two rooms and here are the negative things I've noticed: exhaust and 1 light in our bathroom is not working, shower heater is not working, and has no door mats. We had our breakfast at Sayuri Japanese Resto. They serve the usual SiLogs and breads. Pool area is clean. They have 2 pools. Just 4. ft deep. The other one I think is for kids. The latter though has an area where the pebbles has been scraped off making it sharp enough to cause you some bruises if you're not careful. I would say it is relaxing though as there are plants, grasses and beach as well. The beach is public, so you can expect that it is not as clean as you want to imagine it. They have a complimentary wifi access. However, the signal is not strong enough to be used when I'm in our room. We were at the 2nd flr. I'm not sure why it's too weak as the wifi repeater is just right in front of our window. If you don't have the time to go out and buy your souvenirs, just go to the beach front which is just in front of the pool area and you'll find there our Muslim brothers selling diff kinds of souvenirs like bracelets, anklets, coin purse, necklaces, kechains, and ref magnets. Try to find Kuya Rasid, an honest and very kind vendor there. I even took a pic of his id. He helped me find/wait for the crab vendor (pwede kayo paluto ng alimango) noting that he doenst want the other vendors deceiving their customers. PS. I think Subic is a place that I would recommend for you to go only if you have your own car. Not for Backpackers as the destinations are too far from each other and taxis are expensive - it's not metered. They have this matrix that shows the fee per destination. I've learned my lesson from my 1st visit. So we went there with our own vehicle the 2nd time :)

Overall, I can say I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. But what I enjoyed most is the island hopping where the water is so clean and the view is breathtaking 😊
